Creating a listing on Spacelist takes a few minutes. Here's the full flow.
Before you start
You'll need a Spacelist account. If you don't have one yet, signing up takes about two minutes.
1. Start the listing
Log in, open the menu in the top right, and choose List a Space.
2. Enter the location
Type the full street address without the suite number, and pick the match from the dropdown. The suite number goes in a separate field later.
If the property doesn't have a street address yet, or you need to adjust the map pin, use the custom location option.
3. Set the contacts
The Primary Contact is whoever represents the space. Type their name or email and select them from the dropdown. Anyone with a Spacelist account can be the primary contact.
Second, third and fourth contacts are available once the primary contact is subscribed to Pro.
4. Fill in the listing details
These are the required fields:
- Type — For Sale, For Lease, Desks or Private Office
- Available Space — the usable area being offered, in ft² or acres. You can enter a range if the space is divisible
- Use of Space — Office, Coworking, Retail, Industrial, Land, Medical, Multifamily or Other. You can select more than one
Then add the detail that actually sells the space:
- Unit #/Name — the suite number or floor name. Leave blank if you're listing a whole property
- Listing Description — describe the space. Do not include email addresses or phone numbers here
- Floor, Space Amenities, and Additional Space Details such as ceiling height, parking ratio, zoning or year built
5. Add pricing
For a lease listing, enter the Base Rent and, where relevant, Additional Rent, Lease Type, Service Type, Availability and Minimum Lease Term.
For a sale listing, enter the Sale Asking Price. It must be between $5,000 and $500,000,000.
6. Add property details
This is the building the space sits in: property type, total floors, lot size, building size, building name, property manager and property amenities.
7. Save, then add your media
Click Save. Photos, floorplans and brochures can only be uploaded after the listing has been saved once.
Once they're on, click Save and Publish to take the listing live.
Listing Strength
As you fill the form in, the Listing Strength indicator on the right shows how complete your listing is. Listings with more information get more views and more inquiries, so it's worth filling in as much as you can.
